Here is my picture:

This is my youngest Connor. He was born April 24, 2008 two days before my birthday. This picture holds a lot of meaning to me. Connor was in the NICU for 3 day before he was able to go home. He was born with his ambilicel cord around his neck. The cord was from his belly button & not the placenta that was wrapped around him. He was purple when he was born and we were not sure if he was going to make it. He was 10lb & 2oz. I was suprised that I did not have a C-section.

Today Connor is a very happy & healthy boy. He is my little miracle.

I am so sorry that I haven't posted in a while. I have been so busy with the craft show I have in July that I totally forgot about my posts.

I am going to be doing a craft show in Twinsburg Ohio on July 18th @ Twinheavens hall from 9-4. I hope that a few of you can come. I will give you 20% off your order(s) when you mention today's blog! I will be also taking custom orders & Holiday pre-orders to.

In shop news:

I am still trying to update my shops & adding fresh new things. I am currently working on Ecobags. My Ecobags can be used for the market, beach, or any way you choose. They are crocheted from 100% cotton yarn & come in a variety of colors. I have used mine for groceries, trips to the pool & the kiddos have used it for overnights at Nanees. These bags really hold up to lots of weight. I will be adding them to my shops soon so be on the look out for them in a few weeks!

I have finished an Amirugumi Elephant for my son Joey. He really love this little guy & I may even make more of these to add to the shops.

I am so terrably sorry that I have not posted in a few days. It has been so nice & I had to clean up after the parties this weekend. I turned 30 & Connor turned 1! I will post the pics soon!

The Baby is turning 1!

I can't believe that my youngest is turning 1 on Friday! It seems like yesterday I was just bringing him home!

I have been searching the Internet for a dairy-free & soy-free cake recipe for him. The poor little guy is allergic to them just as Joey is. Joey has seem to out grown it but not fully.

Connor had a difficult first year (mainly his birth). He had his embiliculcord wrapped around his neck from his belly & not the placenta. He was born purple & blue. He had some difficult with his breathing & a little murmur but the cleared up. He spent 2 days in the NICU & was able to come home (on my Birthday) the day he was released from the NICU. If you were to see him now you would not have known he had a difficult start.

Connor was born 4/24/08 @ 4:30pm. He was 23in long & 10lbs 2oz (yes he was a big boy) He was not a c-section either (yes I had the drugs & it did hurt)!

Connor is not the biggest for me. Kayla (my oldest) weighted 8lbs. Joey 10lbs 15oz. JT 9lbs 6oz. I think that I am prone to big boys.

If you know of anyone who has a dairy-free & soy-free cake recipe please it my way. Connor will thank you very much. I want him to e a normal kid 7 enjoy everything that is around him & missing out on cake for his birthday should not be one of them.

It glows in the dark! i am going to make some slippers out of this. I have it in a few other colors to. I will post the picture of the ones that are done and some of the other colors that I have. I bought out the store!

I am busy making more spring slippers and have tons of yarn made from recycled fibers.

Our Beloved Beagle!

Today Is a very sad day> This afternoon my parents had to put our beloved beagle Sid down. She had been sick for a few days & Mom took her to work yesterday (she is a vet tech) along with today. She didn't get better and was getting sicker. My Mom made the heart breaking choice.

Sid is a great beagle. She was the queen of all the beagles in the house and was the protector of my kids. She is the best girl I could ever ask for!

Sid is the beagle next to the cage & Teli (her litter mate has his back to you).

In Sid's honor I am donating all the sales from my shop to go a do shelter in Chardon, Ohio. This starts today & ends April 26, 2009. Please pass the word along and purchase from my shop to help a dog in a shelter get what they need. www.creativecomforts07.etsy.com

New Item!

This has been a very nice week to sit outside while working. I just wish that I was able to get the computer out there (maybe then I would be able to blog more when I am out there! Oh well). I have made a few new items and will be adding them to the shop soon.

These are one of the newest items that I had already added. I will be adding more items soon so you have to check out the shop often to see what is fresh and new!

Now that spring is on it's way I am going to be adding more spring bags, slippers and ecofriendly items.

I have a new shop. I am on Artfire. I just mainly make sewn items there and may add a few crocheted or loom knitted items but this is mainly a sewing shop. I am just adding things as I go along. You will have to stop by and check it out often!

I am so sorry that I have not posted in a long while! I have been so busy with my new spring collection on Etsy & a new shop on artfire.com that I didn't get a chance to post a thing.

What a week!

This has been a very busy week for me. I know I have not been posting like I had been. I was sick and so was the baby. I am very sorry! Now that every one is healthy now. I am going to be back to normal posting.

I did take new pictures of my spring slippers and they are done and ready to be shipped. OK now all I need is a few sales. Here are a few of the new pics of the slippers that I have and I can custom make them in any color and size for you. I really enjoy making these slippers they were very fun to make.

I have added 2 new items to my page and will be adding these marble stitch markers by tomorrow. I know that I usually add new items on Fridays but I was busy making them so I added them today.

In other news.

It has finally stopped snowing and have some sunlight (I hope that the pics I took of the new items in the shop look good). I looks like rain now but its better than when it snows here. I hope that the warm up stays for a while I have a few things I need to take pics of before the sun can hide again.

Great News!!!!

Today I just found out that the CSPIA is holding off on the 3rd party testing for 1 year. This is great news for those of us in the hand made business. We can continue to sell and create our homemade products for children.

New item

Here is the new line that I am going to be starting towards the end of February. I have just posted this one on my etsy shop and will be adding one more pair before I finish the new line.

They are a spring pair of slippers that have a very nice stretch and don't loose their shape. They are perfect for year round or when its spring.

Here in Ohio where I have tons of snow I can wear them but its still a bit to cold. I am still wearing my winter fuzzy ones. But I do love these ones and am so glad that they turned out so wonderfully.

Well I have to run have 2 more pairs to finish.

I have found a great place here on the net to fix your pics before you post them. I have already started to fix the ones on my site and man you should see how nice they look.

This is one of the new slippers I have made it is fuzzy and just like the one in my shop but not a Mary Jane style. My daughter calls them the closed toe style.

As you can see that this post is really about nothing in general but about every thing. I know I am confused to.

I had decided to write it this way since my week has been very busy with a custom order from a very generous repeat customer. I will be shipping her slippers on Monday. She is one of the Luck ones to get to have a pair of the new line that I am going to have out this spring (I will tell you more in weeks to come).

This is Barron. He is a good model for my Puppy love doggy ear warmers. I mad these for the Beagle Team Janchallenge. There are so many beautiful pieces on there, plus not every thing is for the dogs.

Puppy Love

I am proud to say that I am part of the beagle team & clevelandteam on etsy.

Recently the beagle team started a challenge entitled puppy love. I am currently working on my challenge piece. I can how ever show you a work in progress pic of it with a little info about the piece.

This is the Puppy love ear warmers for dog. It is knitted on the looms as you can see.it is a variegated yarn with pinks, reds, white with black dots. It is sooooooo cute! I am going to be including a snow ball dog toy with it.

I haven't gone any where in a while due to all this snow! I love snow but enough is enough now. I have too much now. I can't go out to enjoy it.

In Etsy news:

I am currently working on a few slippers (sorry don't have pics yet) & working on making my shop more prosperous for then New Year. I am also looking for some feed back on my shop, weather it be good or bad.

In crochet news:

I am still trying to finish the blankets I started for spring! I will get them done so that I can post them by May.

In Looming news:

I have made a new pair of slippers but have to take the pics of them. I am also working on some cotton earth friendly shopping bags or carry all bags as the kids call them. They come in all different sizes and 2 shapes (long & round). I will have pics of them soon.

I have added some new slippers to the etsy shop. I am currently working on some baby & children sizes.

I am officially announcing that after the first of the year I am going to write my own pattern book for the looms & it will be a book that has yet to come out and that all will enjoy. Busy busy busy as a bee!

I have been so busy creating lately that I have not blogged in a while! I can't believe it!

I have made 3 scarves and no hats yet. I have at least 6 Granny (square) stocking for Christmas almost done and ready for the picture to be taken.

I am going to get the hats done soon I hope. I have gotten back to the 2 blankets I have put aside to start holiday stuff.

I may actually make my deadline of October to get things done. I am so proud of my self! So far so good!

Well I have to go and get to bed and the I will continue my designs in the morning!

I know that I said that I would have pics of my new items before I post them but I didn't take the pics yet and haven't finished my new items yet!

I am currently working on some fingerless mitts (free form) and a scarf or 2 and maybe a few hats.

I am hustling my butt along. I am just trying to have fun with the kids before the head back to school next week. i know then I will have more time to get thing up.

I will have every thing up by the end of next month. That I can guarantee, but what is up I can't say what it will be just keep checking out the etsy page and this page to find out when things are going to be up.

I posted up a snow person and a holiday h2o bag!

In crochet news:

I am almost done with my mitts. 1/2 way done with a scarf and will begin a new scarf by the end of the week.

I have finished an eyeglass case/holder. I now just have to felt it in the next load of baby clothes. I will have pics of before and after felting.

Day Off

I wont be posting tomorrow. I am taking the day off to go to the Zoo with the Kiddos. I should have some good pics and may be even some good ideas.

In Loom and Crochet news:

I have just finished my new stitch markers for the loom and crochet patterns. I am sorry to say that I don't have a picture of them right now, but I will post them here before I put them up on Etsy!

I finished Joeys slippers and I can't get them off the boy. He wore them to bed tonight. He even asked if he could wear them to the zoo. I said that I would have to make him a a pair of zoo socks. Kayla's are almost done. Hers are all pink (her favorite color). I may put a flower on hers then they should really be done.

In Etsy News:

I will have my holiday stuff up by September. I just wont have that many hats and scarves up yet. I will have 2 matching hat and purses. I have some nice yarn I got on sale that I really want to use but, I can't decide what I want to use it on yet!

Guess what?

Guess what? It is that time of year again when the kids go back to school, Christmas shopping begins (well for me it does), warm days turn into cooler ones and then that the S word starts (snow).

I have been so busy lately that I have hit a crafters block! It started when I purchased some new yarn and decided to make a hat or mitts with it. Well I have changed my mind so many times that I have no clue what to make any more.!? I did however find some thing to make. I have been in need of some very nice stitch markers for when I loom and crochet. I am going to make some beaded ones and like usual I will make too many then post them on Etsy.

I have given my self until the kids go back to school to figure out what I'm going to make for winter (school starts in 2 weeks). I have tons of yarn just need the ideas.

In crochet news I have made 3 sets of slippers. One for each of the kids and making a booty set for the baby as soon as I'm done with Joeys slipper (yes slipper I have finished one and have to attach the rest of the other).

In Loom News! There is not really any thing new other than the New Knifty Knitter adult hat loom is out. I have not personally tried it yet but I have drooled over it though. HeHeHeHe! It is just a bit bigger that the green loom and smaller that the yellow.

OMG! I just got an Idea!

Well I better get going to the paper and pen so I don't forget them.
